GLANCE OF AP VETERINARY COUNCIL
       Indian Veterinary Council Act was passed in Parliament on 18.08.1984. Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly consented to adopt the act in the state during 1993. A.P.Veterinary Council was formed vide G.O. Ms.No.180, AH&F (AH II) Dept.Dt.07.11.1994.APVC Rules are formed vide GO Ms.No.134 Dt.03.11.1995.    Andhra Pradesh is the first state to conduct APVC Elections first time in this country in 1996 followed by Indian Veterinary Council much later in 2000, hence AP State always feels they are Torch bearers of Veterinary councils in INDIA !!

      A.P.Veterinary Council is a statutory body of the A.P. state, to regulate the Veterinary Practice and Education, in the state. The State Council consists of 4 Nominated Members, 4 Elected Members , 4 Ex-Officio Members, i.e., (Vice-Chancellor, Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, Tirupathi, Director of Animal Husbandry, Chief Executive Officer, APLDA, & Managing Director, APS&GCFLtd).
VETERINARAIN'S OATH
       Being admitted to the Profession of Veterinary medicine, I solemnly swear to use scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society through the protection of animal health, the relief of animal suffering, the conservation of livestock resources, the promotion of public health and the advancement of veterinary knowledge.

       I will practice my profession conscientiously with dignity and in keeping with the principles of Veterinary medical ethics. I accept as a lifelong obligation, the continuous improvement of my professional knowledge and competence.
